The Good The Bad and The UGLY

The Good . . . This happened down a 2-lane, lake access road just 3 miles after exiting the Interstate
The Bad . . . What are the odds that both spindles would fail at the same time sending both wheels into the ditch
The UGLY . . . Spent 2 days on the shoulder rounding up parts from 35 miles away and installing new axle/hubs

. . . this was only a 33 year old axle pulling a 300# boat . . . WTH?
and, yes, the bearings were well greased

Wow, could of been worse right? Glad you got it fixed. Crazy to see how things happen though......

It must have gotten hot before you bought it.

In 2021 my trailer will be 50 years old.
Everything looks good but I might upgrade to a new axle with 1-1/16" bearings.
