Hey all

Just picked up a motorguide bow mount for my 15 ft aluminum it is 24v 71lb thrust i know its a big motor but i got it for 100 bucks its only 4 years old. Will this be too much for the boat?

Bill

Sounds perfect to me.

And at that price.... =D>

you can never go too big, too much is always better than not enough. and you will be pleased with 71lb's of thrust on that boat when the wind picks up. and you got a helluva deal on that!

How's this working out for you? excessive Power shouldn't be a problem, biggest concern would be the weight from needing two batteries for the trolling motor.

+2 I have two group24's feeding a Riptide SP70, all up front. Just watch the weight distribution and enjoy the extra power. Jerry :)

you can never have too much power with the trolling motor
you will also enjoy the fact that you can run the motor at a lower power setting
thus giving you a much longer on the water battery life
great pickup
