I think it depends on the color. They sell a fluorescent clear/blue which will definitely glow under UV light. Fluorescent is the key word you are looking for.

What is your target species for the line? I actually prefer a line that is already a fluorescent high visibility color like solar green or high viz yellow as they seem to glow brighter thus are able to be seen farther away which is handy when bass fishing and the bite is light... since you can see your line moving when a fish is swimming with the bait. But not a big deal when vertical fishing for crappie or catfish.
