Memorial Day special......Found a new one for $1039 ($1299 with 20% off) free shipping and includes the Total Scan transducer.

I fish primarily SoCal lakes, and at times, Colorado River, Lake Havasu, Lake Mohave, etc. Mostly trolling for Stripers but also fish for Cats, Crappie, and Trout

I need a new FF and I know its a little pricey, but had a few questions......

1. Compared to the Elite Ti, how does this HDS Gen 3 compare?

2. Is this price good or about average?

3. Are there other FF/GPS combos I should also be considering?

Thanks!

Also considering the Hook2 9" with Triple Shot and Navionics+.....$750 OTD!
I'm sure this unit is way more adequate than what I need for my local lakes and river.

I had the gen1 hds system on my bass boat. Mainly fished lake lanier, deep clear water, and it was amazing. Could easily tell between brush and suspended fish. So im sure the gen3 is far superior. Now i fish the potomac river, shallow and muddy, with my jon boat running a hook2 and it does great. I would spend the extra money and go hds. Both and fantastic units, but i would pick a 7" hds over a 9" hook if you want to save $$$. Good luck.
