Ky and Barkley lakes both closed

Both Ky lake and Barkley were closed today to both recreational and barge traffic ....I was prefishing a tournament there today when coast guard vessel chased us off lake.....The water is extremely high and dangerous so I heeded the warning.......The worst thing about it the bass were bitin like crazy :lol:
I had 11 keepers before i was run off lake ..............JIGGY

Kentucky was reopened south of highway 68 this morning. They are going to reevaluate the situation on Monday.

What were the fish hitting? I'll probably go in a day or two.

I hear the bass are on the jungle jim pattern 10 ft above suer pool puts water way up in the yards
 
You got it I was actually fishing in ppl's back yards and and as deep in the jungle i could get....I was flipping a strike king rodent in the deeper bushes switching between watermelon red and black depend on the color of the water ....In the real shallow stuff i was throwing a bluegill pattern swim jig with a 3 in. bluegill swim bait as a trailer...caught most on the swim jig pattern in real skinny water.....I had 11 keepers ranging from 15 inches to 5 pounds no pics were takin cause I was pre fishing for a tourny and didn't want to take the time out of fishing....besides you guys know i catch fish :lol:.,,,also I caught a couple on a redeye shad blue chrome off the points of trees in the very back of sledge creek....i probably caught 40 fish before they ran us off lake .......Jiggy

Much appreciated.

Looks like a cold front coming for the weekend dropping the temps 20+ degrees and wind gusts of 30 mph tomorrow. Figures.

Yep, typical Western KY weather. As they say, if you don't like it, give it an hour and it'll change.................usually for the worse. :shock:
