WALKER COUNTY, AL (WBRC) -
A Dora man has shattered the state record for largest striped bass by reeling in a monster of a fish.
James Bramlett caught the 70 pound, 47 inch long bass while fishing on the Warrior River by the Gorgas Steam Plant on Thursday.
The old state record was 55 pounds, so Bramlett's fish outweighs its predecessor by a whopping 15 pounds. Bramlett is still waiting for find out what the world record is for largest striped bass.

That is huge! I would have like to see him land that sucker. I guess those record fish are still out there............ and Spring is coming!

very impressive Dora man. I caught a 35lb lake trout late fall my biggest fresh water fish to date. Wow 70# stripper what a hog :shock: congradulations for sure!
