This is a video of my dad and I going on our first sea trial on our 1988 Lund Rebel with a newly installed 2001 Mercury 115 2 stroke. The engine has a new powerhead and this is the first time we have owned a Mercury outboard. It is replacing the boat's original engine which was a 1988 Evinrude 90 HP that had a piston ring go bad and obliterated itself. The Evinrude used to push this aluminum at 33 Knots at WOT while this 115 Mercury tops us out at 40 Knots. So far we are pretty happy but we have only an hour of run time on this engine as of yet.

Yes it was. There is only a small window where it got a bit choppy but it cleared up pretty fast.
