I build to order. People bring me the boat and the ski. They pay for all the material cost and just pay me a labor fee. It usually takes me between 70 to 80 hrs to build one to complete trim. Cost varies on how far the customer wants to take the build. I have two more builds after this one so I will be busy until December being I only do this on the side.

Are you able to sell these boats easily?
What is the price range they sell for?
Part of my deal is that the customer knows that they are bringing me a jet ski and that I'm not responsible for the condition of the pump and engine. It's their responsibility to know that it is functioning correctly before it gets to me. Now, I can and have rebuilt pumps and engines but I don't assume that cost. Most of my customers are people who have known me and know what they are getting into before they start. I stand behind anything that I build but there are certain situations that are out of my control when it comes to the reliability of the engine and pump like age and abuse etc.

Hopefully you don't have to fix old jet ski engine & pump problems along the way.
