Mercury 4 stroke 40hp jet oil and filter recommendations

Did my first oil change and filter with the mercury oil change kit. Was wondering what alternatives are available. What are you guys using for oil and filters on the merc 4 stroke 40hp jet?

I use the Mercury kit. Easy to get and has what u need. My thoughts are if anything ever happens to motor, I will be able to tell them that I used the kit that they said to.
