I've been looking for an upgrade from my 92 Tracker Pro 17 (1750) and finally came across one I couldn't pass up. I picked up a nice 05 Weld-Craft 1852 Semi-V with a 115/80 Mercury. Tonight I pulled the 2 group 29 batteries and charger out and replaced then with my pair of 60ah lithiums. That shed 110#'s out of her trunk! I also pulled off the bimini top. Next I need to sharpen and shin the impeller to the correct gap then see how much different she runs. When I test drove it, I was seeing about 34 with only me and less than a 1/4 tank of gas. Can't wait to get my fishing stuff in there and put the first bass in her!

Oops forgot to add those!

So far I have removed the bimini top, replaced the 2 G29 batteries with 2 60ah lithium batteries, and removed the onboard charger. I removed 110#'s from the rear with the battery swap and charger removal! I pulled off the impeller to clean it up (aluminum) and correct the spacing. When the wear rig needs replaced I'll also upgrade to a SS impeller. Next up is to add a recessed TM tray and a deck extension.

I took her out for the first time last week and man what an upgrade from my old 92 Tracker Pro17 (1750) with a 60/40. With just me, a little fishing tackle, and 12 gallons of gas she was running 35 up current and 38 down current. It would get on plane in about 3 boat lengths but still had just a little slip when I floored it. I need to pull the impeller again and do a better job sharpening the leading edges. (I was in a hurry to get on the water when I did it the first time! [-X ) I also go to put my first couple fish in her!

I am very happy with how this boat fishes and how solid it feels when running. Now I need to test out just how shallow she will run.
