I have worked at the Lowe's in Carbondale, IL for the past 5 1/2 years.

Last year my fiance took a job in St. Charles, MO and moved to Edwardsville, IL. That put us 2hrs apart. I have been looking for a job up in this area for the 14 months. It has been hard living this far apart and not being able to find a job closer to her.

I got the call about 30mins ago from the Lowe's in Belleville, IL. I will be starting in a few weeks as a Specialist in Millwork. Got a nice 15% pay increase and will only be about 15mins from the girl!

Only downfall is I'm not sure where I will store the boat :D And I will have to find new fishing and hunting waters. So if there is anyone around the area that could show me the ropes, it would be greatly appreciated!

Check out the IDNR website for Baldwin lake and Coffeen lake, both are powerplant cooling lakes that can be fished most of the year. Baldwin is like a big square bathtub sitting on a floodplain so you need to be cautious about windy days. Coffeen is a more natural lake and I've done better there but it a little further away. There are also a lot of opportunities along the Kaskaskia river system to try out, Good Luck.

BBG, also if you feel inclined to jump across the creek into Mo-land,give me a holler. I venture out by myself quite often,as the wife isn't always up to going. So there is usually an open seat in the rig. I could show you a few places on this side of the river.

C.U. Fishing...are you talking about Baldwin Lake in Illinois? I have never fished it but have heard people do quite well on crappie and catfish.

Thanks for the offer S&M. I will have to take you up on that sometime.

It will still be a few weeks before I move up there so it will almos be hunting time. Does anyone duck hunt in the area?

Congrats on the new job and good luck with the move. There are lots of us very near Belleville. Look me up anytime.

That's the one, just a ways south of Waterloo. Ive also caught a lot of bass there including a 5-6lb hybrid this spring.
