This was posted in todays local paper. This lake is not to be played with when conditions are rough. One additional fisherman has not been recovered from this accident as of today.

Got any details? Size of boat, weather conditions ect... Im planning a trip up there this spring and don't want to get caught up in the same situation.

Edit, Found all the information here for the curious.

I have been on this lake when the weather changed. We kept watching a storm in the distance and decided to head back across the lake to where we were staying. Let me just say I'm glad we did. The wind was like a hurricane and the waves were easy five feet plus. We were on an 18' Key West and two large pontoon boats and a 20 some footer cuddy boat were with us. Within two hours it was beautiful out and the lake was like glass.

Keep an eye in the distance out there.

It is a great lake which I plan on being on again this summer.

this is very sad....we had a similar situation at lake springfield last year.....my question is why are these people not wearing life jackets?

Marion is a monster of a lake, in more ways than one. Last October was the first time I've ever seen it and I knew right away that I'd never fish it in my 1532. Not the east end anyway.

Second body now recovered:
