Converting an old 14'' loweline Flat bottom Jon boat. I'm pretty handy with tools and projects similar to this but I guess the only thing I'm looking for advice on is how to build the sub-floor structure for my casting deck. If I go aluminum what am I looking for and where can I find it? Also, is it possible to build a wood structure that will simply sit in place without attachment needed via self tapping screws. Lastly, can I leave the benches and use them to support my deck or is that not advised?
