I am a fan of
Weldwood Contact Cement.
If used properly, and applied as per directions,
it is a good product to hold stuff together.
Waterproof, flexible, does not get brittle over time.
When applied to two surfaces - it is a ONE TIME opportunity
to position the two pieces together - there is no second chance.
This product is designed to adhere a covering onto the substrate -
not to repair rips and tears - or to cosmetically hide damaged material.
it is an adhesive - a very aggressive adhesive - that does not adversely affect the material.
Read, Understand and Follow the instructions and directions on
the label of any products you may use.
If it says "
stir thoroughly before use" - then, stir thoroughly before use.
