I'm looking through the Mercury 60/40 jet owner's manual and checkout what it says for sharpening the impeller on pages 76-77. I've attached screen grabs from those pages. They specify to not touch the top of the impeller and to ONLY sharpen the bottom. The manual can be downloaded from https://www.manualslib.com
