The way it works is simple, if you can imagine standing in the front of the boat and the box mounted to the floor behind you, when you gig a fish, you literally raise it over the side of the boat and place it in the box, notice the slot at the bottom of the opening? this is where the prongs of the gig will slide into and you pull the gig out of the fish and he falls into the box, thus never having to touch the fish at all. Make sense?

I like them. U going to sell any? How much? Where u located? I don't gig myself but here is south Missouri gigging season is one of the most anticipated seasons there is. We gig suckers, yellows and hogs. Good looking box.

BoatRight - you cease to amaze me !!

last one I saw like that was my father-in-laws.
He just nailed up a plywood box with the same style opening.
and to my recollection, the stink never did come out of it !! LOL
Yours looks AWESOME and should be easy to clean after the trip.
Do you put an ice water slush in it when using it ???

good job !!!

Archery, yes I' m trying to sell them I'm currently asking $450, the yeti tie down kit alone is $50. I'm in Texas

Johnny, some use a ice chest or tub and a piece of plywood. These are meant for guides really, i dont know if an average gigger would want to pay what i want. Thanx for the compliment.

LDUB, ya get it now? I know not everyone on this site flounder gigs.
