According to the long-term residents of Fairfield Glade, TN, this Summer has been hotter and drier than most. I guess that is why Fall is arriving early.

It is still in the mid to high 80's but I hope that will break soon.

Rich, I am taking my wife up the Blue Ridge Parkway next week. (4,000ft in some parts).
The starting point will be Ruby Falls in Chattanooga, TN ..... (strongly recommend everyone to see this one!!)
Jumping off somewhere that we can scoot over to the Outer Banks, NC area.

THANKS for the photo !!! hopefully we will get to see the beautiful color change.
Everything here in Central Florida stays GREEN all year long with no color change.

I don't know. It is still in the 80's here. A few trees, like that one, have gone bonkers! Hope you see lots of colors. I think it would, normally, be too early ....But the heat may have changed all of that. Keep us posted. We WANT PICTURES.

p.s. We do get Fall in Houston, TX. ....(25 feet above sea level at my place)...It starts about the second week of February and lasts about ten days. Winter follows for a week or so...and then the fishing gets better. Ha Ha
