Bought my first tin boat yesterday, stoked and looking around tinboats for resto/mod ideas and upgrades.
Hewescraft 12' Fisherman, maybe 70's or 80's not sure how long they were built.
Little rough, I'll post some pics later today.
Any suggestions for must read threads here on tinboats appreciated!
Light snow here this morning in Southeast BC, yikes!

Welcome,
lots of good info here 8)
Cold and snowy here on Molokai as well.....lol Jus kidding

I'd suggest just browsing through some of the "builds". Find one that is close to the the size and style of your boat. It doesn't have to be the same. Just generally similar.

Read a few of them. Find a writer/builder whose method and descriptions sound reasonable. And then search for everything that guy/gal wrote.

Some people are really good at describing what they are doing. Some are not. Your time should be spent with the one's whose jobs are easy to follow.

Just my opinion, of course. regards, and welcome aboard richg99
