Putting a floor in the boat, “found” a solution for flotation.

Planned on buying a big whack of pool noodles this year, when low and behold the highway gods smiled down on me yesterday. Had to detour to turn back and get it off of the median and I’m shocked no one hit it and destroyed it when it fell off of whatever.

I plan on making forms and Hotwire cutting it to fit.

My thought too. I'd cut off a small chunk and sink it in a 5 gal bucket for an hour. See if it gets heavier from water weight.

Its the standard bead foam the boats come with inside the seats.

Im going to hot wire cut it and coat it with polyester resin to keep fuel from attacking it.

I once applied polyester resin to some styrofoam. It was like that melting witch on the Wizard of Oz, Haha. Hopefully not an issue with that foam.

Fuel? Fhugghedaboutit ... the resin will dissolve it anyway :shock: ...

I honestly don't know but maybe test with epoxy resin (as opposed to polyester resin).
