Well we departed around 1 am on saturday for a fishing tournament. The seas were rough 4 footers with a side beam sea and west wind. We ran 100 miles to a wreck somewhere off of Naples Florida in 277 fsw. The bite was a bit slow but we did manage to get some big ole snappers. I was hoping to break my record of last year but we only manged to catch one 19lber and a few more well over 15 lbs. THe tournament I was participating in was an aggregate combined weight of 6 fish....some counted more than others. Here is what we caught........bite was very slow but we had fun. The surprise fish of the day was a large lion fish......they are an evasive species and all must die. My friend is a chef and he plans on eating it. I think we ended up in 8th place overall in the offshore division. There were over 300 boats int the tournament.

Bigwave out.......
