where is the water discharge on a 1974 johnson 9.9 ? I don't see a pee stream coming out the bottom of the motor case, but it looks like maybe there is water coming out with the exaust.

Look around on here, as this page says a '74 doesn't have the overboard water indicator, otherwise known by many as the "pee port" or "tell tale".
Leroy's page says "This will not be had on the 74-76 motors as described previously." but I don't knw where he goes into more details.
