V-14 to center console HELP

Grabbed this 1989 v-14 guide and want to convert it to center. Thinking about removeing the rear seat. Having a hard time finding placement of the center...any thoughts...

Tracker made the same model in a side console, but I can’t find any info on how far back it is. I have new yam 25 tiller I want to convert. I read through some posts but most are 16ft. Any help would be great.

If we assume they put the side console where it is for a reason, then it would seem logical to put the center console at the same position. It would just be in the center instead of the side.

Most times, due to the limited beam, is why you see side cosoles in smaller boats.

FYI, converting a hull to a CENTER console (CC) versus a SIDE console raises a whole new list of issues to be aware of and overcome:

Rigging - Rigging is far easier by running up the side gunnel. Most time can't use the existing side rigging as the cables will now be too short to get over to the CC. Need to add some rigigng entry hole in the floor under the console and fab a rigging tube.

Controls - Binnacle controls (top mount) are more expen$ive than side controls.

Cables - Will likely need longer cables for the controls and steering, and possibly the engine harness if already not long enough.

Console - Smaller tin consoles are easier to come by as they're made for the smaller 14-18' hulls. One can buy frp CCs to add to a hull, but they're expen$ive.
