Alumacraft 1542mv handle 60hp etec?
I've recently had a 2008 60hp etec gifted to me and want to repower my 1542mv. The max HP is stated at 25 but I know that is more or less pertaining to insurance liabilities. So anyways, can my boat handle that kind of weight on the transom?

I'm thinking you should reboat your motor!

Nobody here knows your capabilities running a boat so it would be difficult to guide you on this question.
I have never paid attention to rated horsepower and always put whatever I wanted to on the back. That is me though.
You be the judge.
