Has anyone used Simplyink.com to buy remanufactured printer ink cartridges? Seems like a good deal compared to what we've been spending on new ones. $55 for 2 color color HP57 and a black HP 56 with free shipping. Of course the value is directly proportional to the quality of the product.

I tend to stay away from refills and off brand inks because of the inferior quality of the inks and the prints they produce. But more importantly, they can cause problems with the printheads, clogging them and causing damage that requires replacement of the printhead.

IMHO you're better off spending a bit more for the ink than having to replace the printhead more than once in the life of a printer.

As a Professional Photographer/Imaging Tech. Doc is without a doubt 100% correct.

You should really stay away from refilled cartridges. You'll save up front, however you'll be spending more in the long run buying new hardware when the ink fails.
