Well guys after beginning to fish some small tournaments around locally I decided to look for a bass tracker type boat to fix up cheap. I come across this tracker sitting in a back yard, after some haggling I got him down where I felt comfortable and the fun began. Now mind you this boat had set outside for every bit of 7 years and hadn't moved..... It showed! So now for what everyone wants to see, PICTURES!

What I started with.

After adding storage I took the front deck back flush and made the factory compartments bigger.

I didn't like where the console set and it's height so I raised it 2" and moved it back 4''.

End product is a very fishable alum boat, that I hace tweaked to fit me and my needs. I also had to rewire everything and add new switches but do not have pictures. Hope to get it in the water soon for some hot fall bass fishing action.

Nice job! Wish mine got done that fast...

I had the same issue with the console. I didn't like how far away it was from the drivers seat. The guy who designed those trackers must have been about 6'9", 340lbs...

Thanks guys been working on it a few months now. Got it in the water today for the first time looks like Ill have to take the carbs off and give them a good cleaning.

i have been looking for the same boat in the same nasty condition for the right price for awhile! i must say i am pretty jealous! :) great work on the boat and cant wait to see lots more pictures on the water!

Well guys it's made it to the water once so far. The motor surprisingly ran but very rough. Cleaned the carbs today, and it didn't take long to see why. I did break a few of the plastic connectors and such trying to disassemble the carbs so a order is going out tonight to fix that. One thing I noticed is how high the boat drafts all be it is empty still but weight transfer is very noticeable in it. So maybe once I get it loaded down with all my fishing stuff that will be a little less. Ready to see what it will run with the 80 on the back should be able to hit 50s empty as light as it is. I think I got really lucky on this one as all bilge pumps, live well circulation, flasher.... all of it still works. Iv added a 70lb Minn kota, wired it for 24 volt and look to add a 898si before spring. Should be a big improvement over the 1548 duck boat I fished out of this summer!

I'm pretty sure I saw that boat on craigslist for sale a while back. I was looking for a new project (as if one wasnt enough lol) I may be mistaken though. Nice work I wish mine had turned out that nice.

This one wasn't on Clist. A straight back yard find . I love the lay out I just wish it was A. a welded hull and B. had some type of rod storage. Thats my only complaints so far.

Ya my Xpress doesn't have any storage at all lol. I have a tool box in front of the deck as a make shift storage locker. I'd like to rebuild the front deck and bench with storage but it's all welded in and I'm scared to death of screwing something up. What I may do is build a frame for a raised floor even with the front deck and put all storage under that but I'm not sure what I'm going to do yet
