Here is the handle of a rod I'm building for a young man that lost his dad last summer.

Looks great. Did you just add the handle to an existing rod, or did you make that too?

It is a tube made by Lamiglas for handles and they use it on some of there rods I glue arbors in side the tube and ream to fit the blank
