Will be running my 55# 12v MinnKota I-piolt motor on the bow.

Battery -

*12 volt
*NC-27 battery type
*27 BCI group size
*730 cranking amps
*160 min. at 25 amps reserve

Looking at Onboard Chargers

Minn Kota
Mk106D - MK110D

One Bank - 6amp or 10amp. I understand the 10 is
faster but when I will have overnight to recharge before we
hit the water again at the soonest is'nt the lower amp easier
on the battery?

Also looking at the Battery Tender has a new waterproof
but in 5 amp only. Its a little more money than the Minnkota
MK106D but havent heard much on them. I use that brand on my
motorcycle over the winter but just a maintainer.

Really appreciate the input fom this Forum THANKS

if it were me I would go with the minn kota 10 amp charger
like you said it will charge the battery over night every time so you good to go in the morning
as far as hard on the battery the on board chargers are built to charge deep cycle batteries so you dont need to worry
I run a 4 bank 60 amp charger for my 4 batteries so 15b amps per bank. i get 3 or four years out of a set of batteries

I just started using Genius On-Board battery chargers and I like them more than anything I've used in the past... these actually cut off when the batteries are fully charged, then come on once every 24 hours to make sure they are completely charged.

I got a 2 bank 20amp charger (10 amps per bank) off Amazon for less than $100 which was a big discount off their asking price

i have been looking at the genius chargers and if/when my dual pro goes that will be my replacement
the 4 bank model

I got the 10 amp today, hooked up the new battery in the shop to let it charge it
up until it gets installed.WOW the smell of acid almost imediately after hooking it up
never noticed that before charging batteries.

Now just to decide where to mount it under the front deck......
