Ah, that makes sense. I look at all these other trailers and some have tiny tires. I'll try it the way it is and see how much of a pain it is during launch and retrieval. If it is an issue, I'll try getting smaller wheels and tires.

Self tappers should work fine. From what I've read on here though, be sure to use stainless or galvanized screws.

Thank you for fixing my picture, Johnny! I took some measurements. OAL: 14' Beam: 58" Transom hieght: 14" I also found a number stamped between the beam and bow on the starboard side. B13500. I will continue to research and dig up as much info as possible. Thanks
