Water not draining from Mid hull

Perchjerker, I agree with you completely. At this point, it's about time and space for me... I will do as you suggest. I have one access point and that is under the drivers seat. I am already thinking about the project for a later date when I can. Thanks much!!

Water not draining from Mid hull

Thanks All!! Great ideas!! I think I'll go with the wire snake first. I have a fiberglass snake left over from previous work life that might just fit the bill... An did borrowed a Dryer Vent cleaning kit from a buddy. Hopefully that rod will be small enough diameter to go through the drain...

Water not draining from Mid hull

I have a 1989 Lowe 1610V. AS I have been working on it, I removed the driver seat post and plate to discover water standing in the hole and soaked foam. I removed the passenger seat post and plate which is over the center of the deck and there was a lot of water standing int there. I have the...

    Picking up a 1989 Lowe 1610V

Yeah it is in great shape. No leaks either. He kept it in a garage and just doesn't use it anymore.. It belongs to my co-worker's father. Thanks for that info. I'm trying to find a spec sheet and Lowe has told me to contact a local dealer... I'll get it in a couple weeks.

Thanks for all of the responses. =D> I do plan on water testing it on dry land to see how extensive the Rivet issue is. Then option 3 is sounding best. Dave I looked at your build (nice work) and a couple threads mentioned in it and have bookmarked them all. I sure wish this boat could...

Didn't expect to have to do this so soon.....

Decisions are going to have to be made... I have been told the reason the guy I bought the boat from did the epoxy coat job was because of approx. 35 leaking rivets.... Once the hull is completely cleaned up, should I: Re-buck the rivets and Steel Flex the hull Weld all the rivets...

    how to cut bait

If they're big enough, (we call them cutters) filet them for two pieces and then the head works good as well. If they are smaller (we call them hookers), up through the nose out the top of the head. Really big ones, filet them and cut into manageable pieces. For drifting, filet a hooker from...

Catfish rods and Reels What is your favorite combo

That baby was 57lbs and it took about 15 minutes to get in the boat. It was the 2nd largest fish ever caught on my buddy's boat and he has guided for about 10 years. As soon as that fish did a tail slap on the water, by buddy said, "oh Crap!! Help her while I get the net ready!!" 1/2 hour...
