1999 115. I need to replace the 2 top seals on the drive shaft bearing housing under the water pump. Do they pop out easy enough and do I need any special tools for the job?

Getting a 1752 weld-craft tin. I have to use my 30hp 2 stroke till next year when I can afford more power. Not concerned about speed but curious if it would plane with 3 men and light fishing tackle? It's a bare flatbottom that I'll be dropping in a ply-wood floor.

I'm also seeing it as protecting my investment, I sometimes fish back of nueces bay and those oyster beds seem to pop out of nowhere. I have a 1444 alweld now with a mini jacker and like the lift/setback but does cause it to get more back heavy.

I'm looking at a tohatsu 4 stroke which are not that heavy but i do want to run as shallow as i can. Don't want a tunnel so by my research it seems like a setback/jack plate with pods would be the way to go, I just haven't seen too many tiller drives with this setup.

I have a 30hp nissan tiller and am wondering if it will do ok on a 17' welded Jon. Can't afford new engine and need a bigger boat. At the heaviest It be 3 adults with tackle. Any advice appreciated.
