I will tomorrow. It's at my dad's house at the moment. I was hoping it would be something i am missing with the stock setup, but the more digging around we do, the more it seems like someone did a quick and dirty "fix". For example, the fuel tank exhaust hose it too long so it has a huge dip in it.

I recently bought an 87 bass tracker v17 and one of the "quirks" of the boat is that the previous owner disconnected the fuel filler from the deck and reassembled it underneath (so now you have to lift the bilge latch to put fuel in). My dad and I replaced the hose because it was too small but...

When I called the WI DNR, they said it should be registered where it will be housed. Yea, probably. But I would rather a hole in the boat be the reason it keeps me off the water, not paperwork.

WI has the same law, as does IL I believe.

Thanks. How do they check where the boat is stored, as that is where you should register it, right? Or is that more of an integrity thing? I ask that because for now, it will more than likely stay at my dads house.

It sounded like he said they were paying for (all) the damage, just that his car took the brunt of it and was worse than the boat.

How well do those 16' V's fare in shallow-ish rivers? Or does that depend on weight?

I should also add that we primarily bass fish and don't typically go on large bodies of water.
