I am getting ready to paint over Gluvit to avoid UV issues. It is an expoxy. Should I be using a primer on it first. If so, anyone in particular? Thank you for any insight.

Wondering how soon is safe to apply Gluvit after applying small amounts of 5200. I have replaced some leaky rivets on the keel of my jon boat. When I did I applied some 5200 to the rivets and holes they were being installed in. Only a small amount of 5200, nothing "Caulked" on. I know the 5200...

Thank you for the responses. I am going to try a chemical remover, then sand with 80 grit. I am putting a sub floor over the places sealed with Gluv It, but may add a coat of rustoleom. I read all paint needs to be removed in a number of places for Gluv It to adhere like it should.
