    New boat!

Haven’t had much time yet but did manage to way overbuild aluminum deck bracing. Mount my trolling motor, and put the lighted trailer guides on. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New boat!

Thanks Guys! I love fixing up boats and actually have a couple builds on here, but I am pretty excited to be getting a brand new blank canvas. I will be taking delivery of my boat next week sometime. Will post pics! Going to keep it simple. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    New boat!

After 30 years of buying used boats and lots of times others peoples problems lol, I am purchasing a 2018 weld-craft 1652 with a new 25 hp tohatsu and new trailer!! I am excited beyond belief about this. It is a wide open floor plan with a floor. Primarily will be used as a catfish, crappie...

    New project!

First off that is a beautiful boat! Second you can weld or rivet aluminum tube grid from the seat to the underneath of the front deck. Then you can drop down supports from the deck grid to the rib and rivet angle brackets to it on both sides. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Splicing different gauge wires

I have owned many boats over 30 years and have never, ever, had a soldered connection fail. I have, however, seen many crimped connections fail. I will keep soldering and enjoy worry free electrical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

    Not what he said!!!

36" wide boat is too small for an elevated deck in my opinion. They are pretty unstable as it is. I have owned several.

    Any suggestions for this repair?

Not even another solution. Weld it.

    1st time build.... 1986 Alumacraft 1648

It looks good but the transom will not hold up and as previously stated treated WILL eat up you're aluminum.

    Need input quick

Thanks for your help. I basically bought the motor and the boat and trailer was a bonus. So if the boat has a hook it's not a deal breaker just hoping for the best at this point I guess. It's a 2008 40 HP merc with all controls and tank. Paid 2,000 for boat trailer and motor.

That's a good idea. I may bolt (sister) bunks to the sides of the existing bunks just for the trip home.

It hasn't been pulled long at all with the motor on it. Motor was purchased last September and only pulled 15 miles twice according to the owner. I have a trailer sitting here at the house that will fit it but have to tow the boat close to 3 hours to get it home.
