bought the supplies for the trolling motor bracket. I included the "plans" for the mount as I had to modify here and there. The mount is made from angled steel so its super strong. Just have to rotate the head on the trolling motor and I'm in business. By the way those little speakers are...

Yep, mounted them and carpeted right over the top of it. Worked out pretty good and looks decent. I finished the electrical work today minus a couple things. Its completely finished and useable. I still want to bow mount the trolling motor but I'll save that for another day. yeah buddy!

Did the frame work on the casting deck. The 2x4's in the center fit snugly in between the two front seats.

I have almost that same boat but mines a 83-84 . with a 55lb trolling motor it cooks right along. with a 7.5 2 stroke it flies. :twisted:

Bought the wood sealer, carpet glue, carpet, and a fish finder. Tomorrow I'm going to finish the wood working and seal it. Then install the carpet , trolling motor, fish finder and sound system. I just had an idea to install the fish finder flush with the speakers. Should look good. So much to do.

I like the lay out. with the steering on one side, it may balance the boat to have both the gas and battery on the opposite side of you. Or have your fishing buddies on the other side. balance grass hopper.
