I need to buy a weed whacker.

What do you need it for? For Joe Average to trim his 1/4 acre, Craftsman will work fine for years. If you have serious work then you should spend more & get something gooder.

Fuel tank vent.. Leave open or closed for storage?

I learned the hard way to keep it open in the summer. I had to replace a tank that wound up looking like a basketball & wouldn't sit right in the boat.

    The Official Bowhunting Page- Discussion

Old age & a bad shoulder got to me. i'm looking at a crossbow for this season here in Pa. I've done a little research & hope to get out & look this weekend. I'm looking at Barnett, Horton or Parker. I like the Excaliber's but just a little costly for me.

    Dog ear issues

My yellow lab has to have his ears cleaned once a week. Always has. I use a cleaner that I get on-line from www.drsfostersmith.com It's called Ear-Clens & comes in a liquid and pre-moistened pads. Pretty inexpensive.

    Ferrel Cat Infestation-What to do?

Wrist rocket works O.K. You have to get within 10 or 12 yards, though. Aquilla makes a .22 that only has primer in it, no powder. These things are really quiet, fairly accurate out to 15 or 20 yards.

What do you eat for Breakfast?

I'm up at 5 a.m. & I always have two packs of the instant oatmeal during the week before leaving for work. Yogurt or fruit at 10 a.m. I'm in the office about 60% of the time, though, so I don't burn up as many calories as some people.

    New front deck

Looks good. You did a fine job. Can you give me some info about your anchor set-up? I can't tell what you're using in the front. And is that just a ring on the side? Ever use it in any current? Thanks

    hyrdofoils

I have a Doel-Fin on my '93 johnson 9.9. It made a huge difference. Gets up quicker and stopped the "porpoising". I recommend it. There are a few different brands out there and I guess they will all work O.K.

    New TM hook-up

Just got back from Cabela's with my new trolling motor. It's a Minn-Kota Power Drive V2 50# thrust. I wanted something with a small footprint and a small foot controller because of the small front deck on my deep-vee. The manual isn't clear and there is a tag on the wire that says to install a...

Trailer jack rattling down the road

I bought a roll of velcro type material at one of the home stores. It has the hook on one side & the loop on the other. Just wrap it around & it sticks to itself.

That's really cool. He's has everything you need: hat, shades, cold drink, tackle & a driver. Life is good!

    The boat~new photos

Nice job! Very clean looking. Is there much of a weight or cost difference between plywood panels & the high density plastic that you used? The plastic has a couple of obvious advantages.

    Handheld GPS units

I have a Garmin e-trex. Very simple device, no bells & whistles. NO maps, not in color. Useful for me when I'm hunting new areas or fishing new lakes. It has a compass, speed indicator, back tracker, trail marking, etc. you can input a point to store or input lat. & long. points. Like I said...

Hell, I'm glad I'm not the oldest TinBoater - being third is fine with me. I can't remember if my feelings should be hurt  OOPS! Gotta go. The seniors special at the diner is almost done.

    PA fishing license cost

Just have to think about whether the waters are stocked with trout. If so, you need a stamp even if you're not targeting them.
