Well with some patience and ALOT of determination I managed to get an acceptable outcome. May not be perfect but it will do!

The hinge sits pretty tight to the edge of the lid and the holes close to the end of the lid. I'm gonna try to wrap the carpet and then cut the small slits to feed the rivets through but I'm afraid with the way the hinge sits against the lid the that once the carpet is in between I won't be able...

I was thinking this would be the best possible way of doing it. Tedious but would probably be worth it in the long run. They are attached with 5/32 rivets so the carpet would cover nicely. Just got to watch out for the fraying. This carpet seems to fray easily.

The lids have been removed from the frames. The frames are already installed in the deck. What is left is the lid with the hinge attached. I will try to get a pic posted later for a visual

Good Afternoon I am in the middle of my conversion and would like to pick some brains. I have a couple of the aluminum hatches sold by Cabelas. Overall they are pretty nice but the way they did the lids has me wondering how I’m going to get them carpeted correctly. I meant to snap a few picks...

I'd have to measure for sure but the one Fishon did for me for my 8'3" rod box was 52" or 54". I went with his recommendation.

I don't disagree, I have 5 of them and think they are a good reel for the money.

I found it on the bottom shelf its marketed as a "special" camo paint. There were like 4 different colors all with the picture of the boat.

I know this thread is a little old..... Did you ever find a decent cover for your boat? I'm starting to look for one and I'm having the same trouble. Would rather not have to go to a custom made one as well.

If its a brand new engine I would leave the factory lower unit oil in there until its time for the first change. I know in other small power equipment the manufactures use a "break in" type of oil

I used OSPHO on my trailer. Worked good. Ordered through Amazon because I couldn't find it locally.
