Aluminum! I had to use wood on a certain part of my rebuild....just a couple months later and I already have a piece warping. If you use wood...you have to consider every hole you drill will possibly give water a way in. If you use aluminum...no worries all the way around!

I have the same model as GarryB...I love it! I got the co-pilot...I don't care to ever go back to the pedal. I have a 1648...it's not crazy stable so the foot pedal did throw me off balance a couple times. I really like to be able to walk around the boat and still control the TM.

I brought the boat home in early September...I got to get it wet this past weekend for the first time. I had trouble with the motor...but I think it will be an easy fix. It was good to be back out on the water! Fishing was slow...but I was more concerned with the functionality of the boat.

Tuff-coat applied this weekend. It went well once I realized I could dilute it. I ended up using the tuff-coat roller. So far...I really like the way it turned out. I was able to have enough left to do any touch ups that I might need in the future.
