Changed first water pump this weekend. Pee is great. But....

Attention Pappy: Here are some edited photos. I put very bad black arrows pointing towards hole. It's just getting dark so new pictures will have to wait. Thanks for your interest and any help.

Attention Zum. Thanks for the link, I think it does show water coming from the same hole. I'll download and slow down to be sure. Thanks again for the help.

Changed first water pump this weekend. Pee is great. But....

No the impeller looked ok, but I had already tore the impeller assembly down and ordered a new one. I put the new one in. Simple really, but I forgot the one casket and had to repeat the the process. It went back together as easy it came apart. I ran the motor for about 2 min in a barrel and it...

Changed first water pump this weekend. Pee is great. But....

The reason I changed the pump was on the last trip to the lake it wasn't peeing. Second, it states in the owners manual that it should be inspected and replaced reguraly. And third calm down Tommie Boy, I asked for a little help, not to be lectured by you.

Changed first water pump this weekend. Pee is great. But....

Changed first water pump this weekend. Pee is great. But I've got a leak or the motor has an overflow I didn't know about. My motor is a 2016 Toahtsu 9.8 Electric start. I decided to do my water pump myself. Hoping to save a couple of hundred bucks and a wait times of weeks. After forgeting a...

    Own a Raymarine Wi-Fish?

Hey everyone, picked a little cash and was wondering if anyone has or has used a Raymarine Wi-Fish. I have a ipad mini and was wondering how the Raymarine wifi and mapping options work. Couldn't fine many reviews online and figured I would trust you as fellow tin boaters. Have a good one. Zeke

    Low RPM Tohatsu 9.8

Thanks for the reply, I'll get a tiny tach and check it with the new one. It's less expensive that the hour minimum of my boat guy. Have a good one. Zeke.

    Low RPM Tohatsu 9.8

Hey Pappy, It's going the 17 mph, that's what is throwing me for a loop. Shouldn't it be going slower. I'm thinking of figuring out a different way to check RPM. If my tac/hour meter is faulty, buying another seems a waste. can I install a round in dash factory tach on an outboard that is just a...

    Low RPM Tohatsu 9.8

I'm measuring rpms with a TTO tach/hour meter. The boat almost reaches it's max speed of 18.2 mph, it maxes out a 17.0. The boat is a Tracker 1542 with maybe 150 lbs of batteries and wood. The rpms were right during break-in and I'm at a loss of what could have caused the change. Thanks for the...

    Low RPM Tohatsu 9.8

Hey all, it wasn't the "making oil"(see post below on "New Tohatsu making oil"" that was causing my low rpm. The motor is new with only 12 hours, I did my break-in to factory specs. It did make a lot of oil, I changed oil and took it out to Tims Ford lake this morning and it still only runs...

    Self Contained Bilge System.

I have thinking of a bilge system for my 1542, and this fits the bill perfectly. Thank You.

    Tohatsu 9.8 Making Oil

I know it's not really Making Oil, but the phrase just works for what I'm asking. I got a new Tohatsu 9.8 for X-Mas and followed the instructions. Put the oil in to 3/4 full. (I had read about making oil doing research online, then promptly forgot about it when fishing.) On my last trip I...

    My Tracker 1542.

Here are the pieces of my front deck going in. I'll be putting support underneath the deck after payday next week. But it'll work just fine for a day or three. I used an old cooler for my seat base. To stop the cooler from collapsing I used some old wood as my base. To lift seat to height that...

    My Tracker 1542.

Just about to start installing front deck. The carpeted piece in this foto is 2 3/4" thick cedar boards 6" high. I sealed the boards and glued together. I don't know why I carpeted the boards, seemed like a good idea at the time. Mounted to the bench seat with 3 toggle bolts. I wanted to used...

    My Tracker 1542.

    My Tracker 1542.

Here are some pictures of my new motor, a Tohatsu 9.8 Electric start. The Trail tech tach/hour meter in foto 2 is not mounted anywhere yet, haven't decided where it should go.

    My Tracker 1542.

These photos show how I modified my clamp on seat bases. I don't know the bench sizes on other brands of jon boat, but the trackers are to large for the clamp on seat mounts. I used 2 Coupling Nuts to add a length of all thread to make the clamp open larger. My knees prevent me from just...

    My Tracker 1542.

Last post today. My back is limited and it's reached the end for today. Last 2 fotos, they show how I mounted the cooler I use for storage/limited use live-well. I have a collapsible cup holder and mounting ring for bottle opener, pliers and a UT coolie for my beverages. My electronics are...
