    How to mount trolling motor?

I have a 14 foot Richline semi-v that came with a foot remote trolling motor "uninstalled". I'd like some suggestions or advise on how you guys would mount this. There is not a spot on the boat I see to mount without some rigging. Thanks

20 horse Johnson - no reverse

Got my 20 running and doesn't seem to go into reverse. As I shift with motor off seems to go into reverse but will not when running. Is it out of adjustment or is it a deeper problem?

14 ft semi-v project with pictures and questions

Your boat looks identical to my 1969 Richline v-bottom. The drain plug you describe is designed to drain water as you are moving. If your boat fills with water all you do is get moving and remove plug.....water will be pulled as you go..........just don't forget to replace plug before you...

    5200 vs. 5200 Fast Cure

I think they are similair in price. 5200 is known as an adhesive sealant - it is mainly a sealant that has adhesive qualities. As an adhesive it would fall way short of the strength of true structural adhesive. Sheer strength would only be measured in the hundreds instead thousands of PSI...

    Failed Boat Patch

Geo, look for the smaller size tube, like a toothpaste tube. It is priced lower and sounds like you may not need a whole cartridge for your repair. Remember the slow cure variety needs several days to completely cure verses the fast cure.

    5200 vs. 5200 Fast Cure

Both are moisture curing urethanes but the fast cure has catalyst added. Repair shops use the fast cure to speed up thru times.

    A few adhesive questions

Would the areas where rivets are used to bond overlapping panels benefit from a smooth transition? I have some specialized epoxy that is designed to bond aluminum panels in the auto industry. I;m thinking of mating the two surfaces along their leading edges to help water flow better across...

    Rivet bucking

Do I need a special die to buck rivets or can it be done with a hammer and dolley? I have a few that have been distorted and would hammer down a bit crooked. Any tips on working these down tight?

    A few adhesive questions

I have access to a glass bead filled epoxy that can be used to bond aluminum. I have a Richline that I hope to have in the water soon after rebucking some rivets and getting the motor purring. My first question....could this epoxy be used to smooth the transition where the "runners" attach...
