5 hp Mercury New Impeller wont pee at idle

Took it apart multiple more times.. ugh. Still wont pee at idle. Cant figure it out. I'm done with it though. I just raised the idle until it stayed a steady stream. Fish opener is this next weekend here. Hopefully that will be good enough for now. Just a little faster troll.

5 hp Mercury New Impeller wont pee at idle

So as title says, impeller took a dump and no pee. Replaced it and everything seemed to go fine. Start it up and it pee'd very strong. Except when I dropped to an idle. Then nothing. Give it any gas and it goes like a race horse. There is no thermostat. It always had a decent stream at idle...

:LOL2: Sorry, in that mood today. Just looking through some of the threads here and could not stop cracking up. Imagine this is not a boat site and you are a passerby reading the titles. "Got it wet for the first time" "Repairing dents in my jon" "Carpet Gap" Again.. I apologize! :D

    Hawaiian Tin.. 14' gamefisher

Make sure you rebuck the rivets before doing any sealing. You dont need a gun. Just use a hard piece of metal backing and someone on the other side smacking it with a hammer. That will usually seal the rivet back up. Then you can seal them. If you are painting it, I would highly recommend...

A leaky boat needs some help

The big green crayons from cabelas that ya heat up? :D I would do the Gluvit on the inside. It will go over every seal and rivet so you can make sure it is all sealed. If the paint on the inside is solid, just wire wheel off the rivets and seams to apply the gluvit and then repaint.
