How many swivel seats would you place in the typical aluminum boat with three bench seats? I was originally thinking of four...one in back, two in the center, and one in front. Those who have seen the boat have suggested only one seat in the back for steering, leaving the other two benches open...

Do those adjustable seat clamps work on benches that have a lip? My benches have about a one inch lip on either side. I was thinking that I could possibly set a few 2x4's or even 3/4 plywood against the bench so that the clamps would have a solid surface to affix to.
