Thanks for the reply. That is my delema, I can't find a pee hole. There are only two holes with tubes attached and both seem to address fuel overflow from destinct parts of the motor. I am getting lots of water from around the exhaust through the lower unit around the propeller however...

    Honda Outboard cooling issues

Just picked up a 1998 Honda 9.9 4 stroke. Starts quick, runs smooth and there are no apparent issues. My concern is as follows; I am use to seeing a pee stream of water near the upper part of the engine on other outboards. This does not seem to be the case with this Honda. However, plenty of...

    Ignition switch

Mike, I am not 100% positive sure on the MAriners however, I think if you look on the back side of the control box you will see the switch. Get the number off the switch and contact Mariner. They should be able to send you a replacement key. I know this to be feasiable for the Evinrude eTec...

I don't know where you live on the NC east coast but if you're interested in coming up to Portsmouth, VA we can go out fishing in the Starcraft to the James or to the Bay. Fish out of it and drive to see how you like the style...

    Northwest type Boats

I fish the James River, Chesapeake Bay and along the Atlanic in a1968 18' Starcraft with a closed bow. The big advantage these boats have is the deep free board. Mine is 32" deep and 7'-5" beam. They are stable, easy to maintain and the they are "TIN". I love the boat and the handling in...

    Registering boat

Zum, the only thing I would offer is, are these guys where you can get face to face with them if needed? Being in business since 1997 is good and offers positive feedback however, I would still want the option of looking them in the eye if I had to.

    Welded or Riveted?

Great Forum, I'm already glad I joined. I am planning on purchasing a used jon boat 15' to 17' and an OB of 20 to 30 hp. My question is; which is the better method of construction riveted or welded? Thanks in advance for your opinions and suggestions.
