hi everyone ! its been a while, im looking to install 2 pedestal deck plates in my tracker grizzly 1448 rear bench. i was wondering what i need to do to install it? does it need any reinforcing? just drill hole and screw in? it already has one (factory)plate in the middle of bench but id like to install two bases, one for when driving the tiller and one for passenger. here is a photo of the pedestals i want,

thanks in advance for any help or advice!!!!!!!!!!

If you can get a support behind them or bolt them it will be better than just screwing them in. If not I have seen rivnuts used as well as screws and rivets

I've seen guys on here who install a piece of plywood over their bench seat before installing a pedestal mount. Is this necessary? I'm planning on adding a pedestal mount to my rear bench and bow deck. What is the best way to reinforce these?

Did mine and used an additional 3/16ths piece of aluminum as a backing plate on the bench/storage area that's about 12" x 12". Sucker is rock solid.

thanks guys! now is the backing bolted down too? or is it just secured with the plate getting bolted down? what do you guys think is the best way to bolt it down? rivets? screws? anyone have photos of their installed plates and backing?

I just used large stainless screws (#12-14) to hold mine. I have not had any issues, but I do not use a pediatal with mine, just the 3/4" pin seat mount.
