Guys - working on the 1560 - and noticed it was taking on a little water. When we got it back we noticed a hole about the size of a rivet in the back. If I sand it down - can I use JB weld to close it up or would there be something better?

How about a rivet with some sealent or a self sealing rivet. I used JB Water weld that worked well on small holes. Local welding supplier will also have some 2 part epoxy sealent for aluminum-- you could always have it welded closed

I've never had a problem after using JB Weld (fixed a hole in a 12 jon years ago and fixed a hole in my diesel tank on my truck) . If it was me that would be my first action to fix the hole. But as mention above by Howard you have several options. I always keep a tube of JB Weld on the boat in case of a emergency, most likely overkill on my part, but I run the boat in some shallow stump fill lakes.

Cool thanks they repaired it with quickseal. Not sure will see how it works.
