Moving console

Hey guys, my buddy has a 15 foot sea nymph with a side console. He wants to move the console back closer to the motor to give more room in the front. Is this possible? What will have to be done to make it work? thanks a lot!

This is totally possible, he may end up with extra slack in the cables, but that shouldn't be an issue. If you check out my thread https://www.tinboats.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=33136 I turned mine into a center console and moved it forward a few inches. It isn't too difficult.

That's what I thought. How was yours connected? Right through the side of the hull?

Yeah, it was bolted right to the side of the hull and then bolted to the stringers.
