Pennsylvania may have a new state record palomino trout. Joe Hutchinson of New Florence caught a 13.75-pound golden rainbow trout from Little Mahoning Creek in Indiana County on the first day. The fish was 31.75 inches long with a 19.5-inch girth.

If the **** hatchery stocks a state record and someone catches it, does that really count ???

Sure - why not. Any Golden Rainbow (Palimono) woudl have to have been stocked - but how long ago?

I beleive if I heard right this fish was stocked this year. They say that there were 3 state records that were put in the streams of Pa. But they wont give any sort of location on these fish.

Just doesn't seem the same as catching something that got that size on it's own, in the wild, surviving all the years it took to reach trophy size. Kinda like "canned hunting" on a private game reserve where the animal brought in to be killed.
