Transom wood replacement!

I am wondering what kind of wood to use as an exterior wood replacement for my transom? I know there are plenty of forums with information on this but I would like to post a pic and show you all what I would be working with! I replaced the interior wood with some exterior grade plywood and put a waterproof sealant on it! However with the exterior it would be In the water the entire time and what wood and coating should I use?

I used regular plywood, couple good coats of fiberglass resin, then painted over it.

1/4" plate aluminum

This would be best, second choice is exterior plywood coated with epoxy resin.
