what do you guys down south use on the transom ?

these 1000 plus acre electric only resavoirs u need some power and longevity to make long runs to and from the ramp , what are yall using on your transoms ?

Depends a lot on what size boat you have and the wind.

1000 acre lake is approximately 1.5 square miles which is not really a large lake.

I have a 12' v-hull with a Minn Kota Endura 30 and a Wal-Mart Everstart Maxx Group 29 Deep Cycle battery and routinely cover 6 miles on medium speed with plenty of juice left.

i've got a tracker tx-17 with a minnkota 50 and 2 group 29ers in the back. works for days

My boat is a 14' Deep V and my 50lb Minn Kota Powerdrive will run all day long on a well charged group 29 battery.

I run a Minn Kota 55 lb. C2 with 2 deep cycle batteries, running one at a time using a switch. I usually don't use the 2nd battery, but it's there for security. :LOL2:

:twisted: I'm using three 31 series batteries. 55lb bow motor 54lb transom. Both used the same time for long runs. I knew a guy with three transom motors and EIGHT batteries on board!!! :shock:
