Hey everyone I need some help finding quality rod building components. I am looking to find the best price on everything you need to build a custom rod. I know of mudhole, but I am looking to become a dealer and need some dealer pricing. All help is appreciated.

Thanks

Hey Kevin

If you looking to become a dealer, you need to go straight to the manufacturers. Here's a couple links that may help you out:

American Tackle- I have talked with Darrin from time to time. He can give you the scoop on becoming a dealer: https://americantackle.us/contact.html
Batson Enterprises- It's been a while but I think Sylvia is the lady's name you need to speak with: https://www.batsonenterprises.com/contact-us
Castaway- They make blanks, guides, and seats. Swampland Tackle in La seems to have the exclusive on them, though. May be worth a call: https://www.castawayrods.com/home/index.php?option=com_rsform&Itemid=57
Pacific Bay- Never talked to these guys: https://www.fishpacbay.com/contact.html

Of course there's a bunch of smaller guys for building materials and misc items. The ones above are the larger ones in the industry. You may be aware of all these, but hopefully it helps you out some.

How long have you been buidling? I've been told that if you have a company and business license, you can get reduced pricing from Mudhole, Merrick, Swampland, etc. Have you ever dealt with Swampland Tackle? Call them up and ask for Lance. He's good people and may be able to answer some of your questions.

Thank you for the sources Eric, I just brought on a new custom rod builder where I work.....I know most of the industry but rod components are not in my scope of buying. I want to help him since he is making custom rods for my shop, and I want the price to be as low as possible. I am sure all of the mentioned will be at ICAST, as will I in our booth with PRO TACKLE....this is another company that we own. I will look each one up and hopefully we can become a dealer for them. I just opened up an account with Merrick, will do one with mudhole, and probably a couple of more you mention. We like to stay with as many Mom and Pop/american businesses as we can....that is how we roll at FISH. You can find us on facebook and here is our sitehttps://www.fishermansidealsupplyhouse.com/
