Is it possible to adapt let's say a folding Motorguide bow mounted foot controlled electric trolling motor bracket for use with a transom style electric trolling motor like a Minn Kota or another Motorguide? Has anybody here successfully done it?

P.S. Yes I know about "Gator brackets" but, I don't as of this moment, have that kind of cash to spend on a bracket.
